How many calories to lose weight



Deciding on calories  is a very important question posed by many dieters. How is it that you know the right amount of calorie intake that you require for your body? Losing weight is not easy for most people. A lot of things are involved while losing weight. It includes exercise, right lifestyle and of course the right diet. Food is essential to both losing and gaining weight. Thus the right diet must be on the top of the list of priorities of all those who are on a diet or are thinking of being on a diet.
One thing that we know is that one pound is the equivalent of 3500 calories. So theoretically if you are thinking about losing weight then you should cut down 3500 calories to lose a pound of weight. In order to lose weight you can either increase your calories expenditure or can cut down severely on calorie intake. Either way there must be a deficit in the calorie count. Calories for weight loss must be carefully counted.

Suppose you require an amount of 2000 calories to maintain your current weight. But you want some weight loss. So you must find a balance between which will be the right amount of calories for weight loss that you require. Let us suppose that amount is 1500 calories. Over a period of 7 days if you cut down by that much of calories you are losing 1 pound per week which is the healthy amount of weight loss over that period. The calories for weight loss can also be deducted by incorporating more exercise on your routine. Lesser calorie intake along with increased exercise will help cut down those calories for weight loss.

You will find it extremely difficult to keep up with the calculation on calories of different foods for weight loss unless you are aware of the calorie content in different food.  The plain and simple rule is that you should eat healthy whole food that contains no preservatives. Cut back on your consumption of your favorite foods which are high in calorie content. Also stay away from alcohol as it is found to add up calories to your strict diet. Which may explain all those beer guts out there lol.
Nutritious food is the key to keeping down the calories for weight loss. Our bodies need natural vitamins and minerals to function properly.So if you are on a diet make it your priority to include everything healthy and nutricious. Eating habits play a very large role in counting calories for weight loss. If you go without adequate nutrition and vitamins you might end up facing problems much greater than a few extra pounds.
The most dangerous foods in these cases is food with empty calories. These types of foods and drinks have very little or no nutrition and a lot of fat. Energy drinks and sodas are a big no-no.
 Calories for weight loss should include healthy foods but not the ones with high calorie intake. But don’t go harsh on yourself. Eat heartily and healthily and you will find yourself losing weight. Just keep in mind the right calories for weight loss.
